Kingston memory.

value select would prob be a given that it is........I got quoted 862excl for 512mb for the kingston and 1700 for the 1GB dimm excl.

Yup duderoo, that is value select. I cant really compare the Corsair Value Select and Kingston Value RAM. I was definitly more impressed by corsair highend stuff (XMS) over Kingston's Highend stuff, but KVR is ok I guess.

Way expensive, rip off prices. Here are mine for the same items:

Kingston ValueRam 512mb ddr2-533 ( pc2-4300 ) , CL4 , 1.8v - 240pin - lifetime warranty
R730 (and that includes VAT)

Kingston ValueRam 1024mb ddr2-533 ( pc2-4300 ) , CL4 , 1.8v - 240pin - lifetime warranty
R1360(and that includes VAT)

The DDR2-667 is almost the same prices and the DDR2-800's are a few hundred rands more.

KTD8300/512 Kingston Branded Memory 512MB R862.00ex
KTD8300/1G Kingston Branded Memory 1024MB R1701ex

This is the RAM, not sure if that is value or normal?

I need DDR for Dell Dimension, and it is needed in pairs.

Those model number dont match anything I have.

Anyway, so you say you need DDR400?

Kingston ValueRam 512mb ddr-400 ( pc3200 ) , CL3 , 3-3-3 , 2.6v , 184pin - lifetime warranty
R720

Kingston ValueRam 1024mb ddr-400 ( pc3200 ) , CL3 , 3-3-3 , 2.6v - 184pin - lifetime warranty
R1360

ya i think just buy the cheapest ram you can find

only buy expensive ram if your a gamer or use heavy programs

for normal use even hynix is just fine
