Hi All

I am hoping this is the correct place to post this issue. If there is a sub-forum better suited to my issue that this one please let me know.

I have a 65" Samsung Q90T and am running Kodi off the new NOVA 4k box from Netogy. I am using a 48gbps HDMI cable with 2.1 HDMI ports either side. I am running the latest version of Kodi (19.4). It would seem all 4K movies are only displayed in 1080p.

I have been scouring the net to find solutions and it would seem I am not alone with this issue. Although I have not yet been able to find a way that solves it for me. In KODI in the "whitelist" my only selectable option is 1920 x 1080. Does anyone have any experience with this or able to assist in any way?

Do you get 4K elsewhere (Netflix / YouTube / Disney+ ?

In the actual Android TV settings - is display set to 4K? It does auto pickup, but checking will help to clear that issue

Also, where are you checking ?
Is there a setting somewhere to confirm you're only getting 1080 ?

I think/thought the Kodi interface may be 1080 but when you start playing a file, it'll switch to 4K. The TV input may be giving you the Kodi interface
