Eskom right now

Or it could just be MyBb tripping over themselves once again trying to explain technical things, it has happened plenty of times before.
I tend to agree. Most likely a misunderstanding by the journalist. It is bound to happen every now and then with technical articles.

Eskom right now
Wrong. Eskom isn't holding any balls successfully at the moment.

As @TheChamp and I discovered last night, there isn't a single metric this year that Eskom has managed to improve upon. It's all downhill so far.

If you perhaps have a gif of this woman unconscious on the floor while balls are being thrown at her that's probably more accurate.

Bit like the phantom "bolt"? Highly technical that was, technical rubbish that is.

It's a well understood problem with journalism that they often struggle with accurately conveying the words of technical people.

Science journalism has countless examples of the problem.

My understanding is that the bolt thing wasn't the journalists' fault. They were simply repeating what officials told them. The officials were wrong there.

Yup,there was no bolt
Just like the cake was a lie

I agree there was no bolt. My point is the journalists were told there was one by the officials. It wasn't like they misinterpreted something technical being explained to them.

It's a different scenario.

So in other words there was no mistake they were just lied to.

Yea, the fault lay with the Eskom folks doing the telling in that instance, not the journalists for misinterpreting. They didn't misinterpret.
All I'm saying is that probably the same thing has happened again in this instance, the journalists have repeated verbatim what Eskom told them.
