How so?
And i just thought it was a bargain, dont have to go ktm, any other suggestions would be awesome![]()
The Duke is a lane splitter through and through. Compact and has enough grunt to do high way speeds.

Pretty much what I'm looking for lol.
Just dont want it konking out after a year because ill be doing 80ks a day.
which is why im looking at it since it comes with a 15000k,24 month service plan...
>> Service interval was 5000 kilometres.
>> They later bumped it up to 7500 kilometres.
>> You have a mandatory service at 1000 kilometres.
>> Bike has decent ABS, which in my mind is an absolute must for beginners. As a beginner you will tend to do a hand grab on the front brakes, as opposed to a quick, controlled two finger pull.
>> Economical has hell. Doing 120 km/h in 6th gear gets me ~28 to 30 kilometres per litre.
Yeah it just feels like it might be too much for what I need, it being a racing bike etc etc
Been watching reviews and what not, and the ninja/Z300 might be a better option?
The Duke isn't a racing bike. It's a straight up commuter. The RC is a different story, same engine but more aggressive seating position. Ninja 300 will be the same as the RC. That being said that Ninja 300 in burned orange or white looks amazing.
Problem with the faired bikes is that when you drop them, that's a lot of plastic that is going to get scratched and cracked which = $$$.
Ah i see you were refering to the Duke, yeah its just about R10k more expensive than the RC. Around R64k
I would go for the Yamaha R3 if I was planning to spend that :s
