Mini TV didn't last very long, it also wouldn't have been 1995 as TV1 became NNTV in 1991 which then became SABC3 in 1996.

In 1996, the SABC reorganised its three TV channels with the aim of making them more representative of the various language groups. These new channels were called SABC 1 (formerly CCV), SABC 2 (formerly TV1) and SABC 3 (formerly NNTV).

I also remember having to retune all the TVs because SABC1 was now on preset 2 and vice versa.

I remember picking up Bop TV as well those days, you could watch Captain planet on mini TV, then switch over to Bop TV teeny bop to watch another episode of it.

What did CCV stand for ?
For that matter what did NNTV stand for?

National Network Television. They had some awesome shows. There was a National Geographic documentary every week, Beyond 2000, Drive Time with Alan Johnson, to name a few
