I've been very critical of Vodacom on these pages, and I think with reason (most of the time anyway!) Now VodacomData has done something that warrants a compliment - he went beyond the call of duty and showed that compassion still exists.
A friend received a notebook and modem as a Christmas present. She's not very clued up on buying airtime and converting it to data, so I showed her how to do it. (OK, to be honest, she didn't even know you could do that - she was blissfully buying airtime and browsing at R2/Mb!) The first time she then bought airtime and wanted to buy a data bundle she inadvertently selected the wrong option and bought an SMS bundle. Yes, it was her mistake, and probably my inability to teach her properly, but hey - I had only one chance at this!
Without going into too much detail, I pm'd VodacomData, and he assisted her. GREAT STUFF VODACOMDATA.
She really can't afford to "lose" what for most of us is a trivial amount. Your kind gesture certainly made a huge difference!
