Kulula Connect

Well Kulula is part of Comair Holdings and they offer good products and good service providers (eg, Imperial Cars) at often highly competitive prices- but the reliablity issue I think is dependant on which service provider package you select, and the signal availability in your area...It's nothing to do with Kulula per se. They are just the middlemen. However if you do fly with Kulula regularly- there may be some value added additional benefit unlike most other middlemen's offerings.

True, but from reading through this forum, you would find that in most cases regarding data it is better to go direct to Vodacom Service Provider company.

One of my main gripes with non-network-owned SP's is their help lines are not toll free. So when you have a problem, you have to cough up to call them. And as we know, the holding times are quite often extreme.

I find that kulula has really good prices and they seem to answer the phone quickly, unlike the other guys....

I will only buy from a non-specialist internet provider if they are somehow SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. If the price is the same i'll avoid them just like i wouldn't buy my food in a hardware store.

At the end of the day , these resellers are always lagging behind, if MTN/Voda launch something new, it's late with them or not offered at all. Their websites/service options usually also tend to lack features [although that said, anything beats MTNSP's piss poor website] .....actually scratch that, MTNSP and their whole data contract setup sucks, it can only be better via a reseller ;). However Vodacom might be different as they offer more stuff .

Also take into account the ability to walk into a physical store. I've never seen a Kulula store and i've used MTN/Vodacom stores quite a few times to sort out issues....

Now i don't know Kulula's service at all, just because their airplanes are on-time doesn't tell me they know how to sort out my internet problems.

That said, i see their 1GB contract is R40 cheaper than the standard price per month [R310 vs. R350] . You decide if it's worth it.
