BUSINESSMAN Dudu Kunene has been appointed to chair a board to advise the global networking giant Cisco on its empowerment, transformation and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The US-based company believes it will benefit from having a man of Kunene’s experience to pull together other board members with their fingers on the pulse of SA’s economic, social and political sectors.

“We have picked an individual who doesn’t come from the technology world but he’s a man of integrity who has been at the foundation of the new SA,” said Cisco regional vice-president Mark de Simone. “He is close to the various political influences in the country.”
