Hi,

I need to get my main PC upstairs to connect to my game consoles downstairs. I have tried WiFi (G) and the signal is too weak due to the concrete floors. Running a neat cable down is not really ideal as I do not have the time & energy.

I have read about ethernet over powerlines using the HomePlug standard, but does not seem very big here (or it does not work). Does anyone know if it works, and who supplies it?

Alternativly perhaps a company can assist in creating two access points in my house in Fourways?.

Regards
Lee

get a signal repeater. PC gameworld sells them and perhaps Incredible Connection. The latter is expensive!

But a repeater is what you need IMO. Or a stronger antenna. PC gameworld sells them too... as do others.

go buy a glue gun and off your lazy ass and run a cable

jeez man im a lazy person but running a cable is not that hard

put on some banging music and get that glue gun going

trust me when its finished u will feel good, and didnt have spend cash on antenna's and you wont get 3k downloads on an adsl line

you mentioned gaming, htf you going to play online games with wifi
