BF2 just soooo much nicer! Faster action, better weapons, vehicles.
Admittedly, it is a few huge downloads (about 6-10Gbs for the mods and maps), but great fun.
We only play local LAN between the few of us, haven't yet tried online (not good enough internet yet). I can just imagine 64+ players on it.
Many times thats all we play all weekend, I can very well recommend it.

If I want to play a game like BF2 on LAN, is is possible to run only on one DVD?
As far as I know there is no cod 4 zombie mode...
and yes I enjoy cod4 and dota (war3) the most.
Those two games are being lanned and played in comps at a lan in pretoria.

Having not been to a decent lan in ages, or any for that matter, we decided to make one happen in the near future. A small, yet hopefully enjoyable evening...
Problem is though, one or two of the people attending have some older machines that won't be able to handle some of the "more recent" games. So in an effort to at least get everyone involved, and playing when possible, we decided to make it a sort of low spec (older) games. Thus far we have DOTA, and maybe counter-strike
in the list: there's got to be others -any other suggestions?

What would one need to run a LAN server for BF2? Maybe about six to ten gamers?
