LAN - Great games suggestions?

Hey

We`re having a lan tomorrow....wondering if any1 has any suggestions for new games? Getting bored of the usual CS / Dota etc....

If you 8 ppl left4dead2 is a good choice :)
or then get some old RTS games going, can never go wrong with a good RTS
 
ah yeah some Generals would work nicely :D i think a friend of mine has left 4 dead, will look into that 2! thx
 
Borderlands, L4D2, COD5 (nazi zombies), Race Driver GRID, Supreme Commander.

now If you really want an awesome FPS lan game then give crysis wars a bash. heck it is even free to lan, no serial required. Be warned though that after a small taste at a lan you will be hooked for life :P
 
Cycling between UT3, Supreme commander (especially 2 since) and Borderlands.... epic epic LAN. If there is too many of you for Borderlands, give good old diablo 2 a last bash before D3 is released.

Rise Of Nations / any RTS Games are Fun
Serious Sam HD

at a lan, the funnest thing is usually Co-Op, because you are all within talking range and it just brings the whole "team" and "squad" thing into play, so try stick to some co-op.
head to head games like cod4 should be avoided, they are no fun at a LAN, espeially when there is only 4v4!

How is COD4 not co-op? beside free-for-all, you have sabotage, dominate, headquarters, search and destroy those are all co-op....
even for a 4v4 you can team death match on the smaller maps like shipment or kill house.. (although this is like CSS just betta :) )
 
Flatout ultimate carnage, l4d2 always fun.Difficult choice since most new games doesn't come with lan functionality else i would have said the new battlefield and codmw2
 
starcraft, q3, c&c generals, hldm, tfc 1 & 2!! anyone remember the hl mod ricochet? (prob mispelled, legendary!!)
 
Can't go wrong with COD4 ..... had small lans, was uber fun and now have bigger lans and have people joining online and it's uber fun still.
 
Call of Duty 4 (Smaller maps like Killhouse, Shipment)
Call of Duty 5 Campain (Co-op, Zombies)
Medal of Honor Allied Assualt
Age of Empires 2
Command and Conquer Red Alert 3?
 
Crysis Wars for a deeper than normal FPS. UT is always a good bet. It is a pity that Dungeon Keeper 2 is so old and problematic now, it was a ton of fun on a lan.
 
yeah but im just speakig from experience, playing 3v3 was no fun at all, maybe 4v4 will be better...
