I would like to know if the following situation is possible, I know you could use a hub and the problem would be solved but I want to know if it is possible without the use of a hug.

We have two laptops, these laptops is connected to each other via wifi, each laptop is connected to a desktop via a LAN Cable. What I would like to know is, is it possible to play something like COD 4 or any other game via LAN and see get 3 of the computers connected to the server running on the 1 computer. Just by having a deskop connected to a laptop and then the two laptops connected to each other via wifi.

It is, but why complicate matters? Gigabit switch, four Ethernet cables and you're done.

Even a 100mbps switch would do. I've got an old Netgear WAN router (previously used for iBurst) in good condition. Has a built in port switch. Will sell it to you cheap. I'm in Lenasia, JHB. Send me a PM if you're interested.

I know that I can do all this with a switch, but I was just wondering if I could do this without using anything else except the 2 LAN cables and then using the Laptops Wifi

You can bridge them easily. Like so:

Though your description is somewhat fuzzy so I'm not 100% confident I understand you.

@HavocXphere sorry if I did not explain clear enough, so let me try again. I have a desktop pc (DeskOne) that is connected to a laptop (LapOne) via a LAN cable, then I have another desktop (DeskTwo) that is connected to another laptop (LapTwo) via a LAN cable. Now I connect the two laptops via wifi with each other, is it possible to once the laptops is connected via wifi to start a COD server say on DeskOne and make it possible for the remaining three to connect to this server in LAN Multitplayer game? I do not want to use a switch, just two LAN Cables? I did look at your pic that you gave in your post and do think that might work
