Lance Armstrong hit with record multi-million dollar fine

I'm not really interested in what he did, except knowing I read a whole book of bull**** pisses me off.

+1, I read both of his miserable works of fiction. I do take some solace in that I saw the cracks a few years later before all this blew up but still..

Shouldn't be so hard on him. He was just trying to make a living.

He didn't just lie, he waged war, publicly and in the courts with anyone who dared accuse of of doping.
No respect for him, sorry. I wish they would also meter out some punishment for the rest of the dope brigade though.

This is my thinking as well. He proclaimed innocence and blasted his accusers as the liars, until it all came out that HE was the liar here. That was where I lost all respect and as a result was no longer on his side, up till that point I actually believed him.

Worth a watch, cheat or not he was a machine on a bike, but a bit of a d00s throughout his career

He is not the only cyclist to dope , doping is common practice in cycling.

Corruption is common practice in politics, speeding is common practice on highways... where should the line be drawn?

actually not so much anymore... it was though.. times are changing and testing is more hardcore.

They'll have to get smarter about defeating the tests. What you could be saying is that they already have.

Cat meet mouse.

The real losers are the ones who turned snitch and those that didn't really have, and weren't willing to do, what it took to win.

This! Captured my exact sentiment here. I remember that Nike advert where he said, people ask what am I on, I reply I am bustin my a** 1000 hours a day blah blah.

He lied under oath. This fine is lenient! Should be charged for perjury!

What? Seriously? Do you feel sorry for Zuma?

Armstrong deserves everything metered out to him now.. he made his bed, he must lie in it. Lying is a choice.
Yes, he does, but he is not alone. Unless many more cyclists are brought to book, this is a witch hunt.

Many were brought to book, and confessed. He was one if the ringleaders and denied everything. Deserves jail like Marion Jones

This ain't news, every professional athlete uses performance enhancements

It's the cycle of life and the wheel always turns....

He is unethical and zip in my books so I feel f all for him.

just legalise the drugs and doping methods so they can all be on the same page, they all do it anyway.

Yup, then your 14 year old kid will be spiking up at the breakfast table in no time wanting to make the 'team'.
