LANning in CPT?

There exists a probability (0 < p <= 1) that I might be moving to CapeTown in the near future.

What does the LANning scene look like, in such close proximity to oddly shaped geography?

I know that it's completely dead, here in P.E.. There was a time when I used to LAN *every* weekend (With Clan Execution, I wasn't in the clan, but I was at the LANs) but now, there's nothing. Not so much as a monthly.

hah the opposite for me.
Since I moved to CT from PE I don't lan at all anymore due to not having enough friends with fast enough PCs. I know they have some biggish lan events here every now and then but I'm not sure what their policy towards "copied" games are.

For random play, i think the games mentioned above are allowed... I think, dont quote me on that, rather get in contact with the admin..

piracy is a myth. i have yet to meet a single person with an eyepatch at a LAN.

i have actually bumped into a person with a wooden leg though, but lets not go into that...
