Sigh, turns out my @lantic email address is practically useless again. This is the 3rd or 4th downtime in less than a month which always occurs without any warning or ETA from @lantic as per when it will be fixed. Just my luck that it happens to coincide with when I am expecting important emails.

Webmail.lantic.net also went down with the normal mail servers. Every few minutes an email does come through, but by no means can one rely on this service.

I have already started using my gmail address for most emails and this frequent downtime will just help to accelerate the switch-over.

Useless sods phone me now and ask if I am still having problems with my Internet. The email that I sent to them clearly stated that it is only the email that is down and if they had bothered to check my account they would see that I don't even have an Internet account from @lantic. Same useless advice... please reset the router. What is the point of having email support if you don't read the emails properly?

I don't know why you (or anyone else) bothers with these type of setups... @gmail.com is the way to go! They are like NEVER down and when they are, you don't even notice because it's fixed so fast! :D

Back in the day when I opened the account gmail did not exist. I have been using it for a long time after gmail was around because it was still local. Now the biggest reason I am hesitant to close it is because of legacy accounts which all use the @lantic email address. But every time I get issues from them I make a point to move more things to gmail. One of these days...

As Warren Buffet said "Price is what you pay. Value is what you get." (And the same applies to your clients (or what ever they are) for using you, cause you cant get your mail)

Stop playing with Micky Mouse providers.

I just had a @lantic client call me. Some of his emails are being returned to him as "undeliverable, sender domain rejected by recipient". I also heard that @lantic have been having "virus issues". Have they been blacklisted or what? Any one with any news?
