"Automatic cutover at 6pm to Uncapped and back again at 6am"
I also signed up and started using Atlantic yesterday. I have the same problem as the OP here. I had only one session before 6 in the evening, but my data is logged under my Package and not my Bolt On. Here is my total sessions for yesterday:
Time Connected Total Time Total Data (Download +Upload)
15:37:29 to 15:48:04 10min 36s Total 2389KB
18:37:37 to 21:09:31 2h 31m Total 303543KB
21:09:33 to 01:01:31 3h 51m Total 74950KB
01:01:13 to 04:55:04 3h 53m Total 270KB
04:55:04 to 05:23:53 28m 50s Total 2000KB
Strangely my data usage is reported as:
0.29GB Package
0.07GB Bolt On data
According to this I used about 300Mb of data under my Package and 70Mb for Uncapped. The only session before 6pm was only 24Mb. I also emailed them and I am waiting for their reply. I reminded them of what their website says here: http://www.lantic.net/bolt-on/index.html
Clearly this do not happen. They will have to fix this urgently. :erm:
Besides that, I have no complaints with the service. Will let you know what they say.
Emailed them asking why. Cause I used 600mb from 6pm to now and yes now my first 1Gb is almost gone.... Sigh....
Please let us know if you get a response. Would really be interested to know once they fix the 6pm-8pm issue and the "automatic" cutover issue (even if one connected before 6/8pm, will it cut over without having to reconnect?)
• The uncapped service will only be valid during the following timeslots;
Weekdays Monday – Friday between 6pm-6am
Weekends Friday 6pm – Monday 6am
(Excluding public holidays)
Anybody having problems with your bolt on packages, mail me your System ID and I will try and sort it out for you. Or if you are interested or just want more information.

Dont worry about the usage on the package, its just a delay between IS and @lantic's systems, if you use after 18:00 and before 06:00 weekdays it will not go on your account. On the 21st of each month when the cap resets, the bolt on usage will be deducted from your capped account.
I'm not happy with the reply I got......
"The usage is showing correctly, but it does not update instantly.
and Bolt-on works correctly the usage will be added to as it suppose to. "
Totally missing the point? Its a day later and the 0.61GB of usage I used about 20min after 6pm last night is still showing as Package usage. Now even if I would to use 10GB the whole month between 6pm - 8pm that means I would hit my gig4gig cap of 10GB and then what will happen?
Must I just assume that the end of the month the billing will be right because for me I can almost put my money where my mouth is and say that I will be billed R15 per for the 10GB I used.
Here is my usage.
[ ADSL Usage Information ]
Total Usage 12.64 Gb
Package Usage 0.61 Gb
Bolt On Usage 12.03 Gb
Other than that you can see my usage that I used after 8pm after I have reconnected. I just don't trust the whole automatic switchover cause it seems like its a ticking timebomb for a massive bill end of the month. That said to just leave it and then debit order fails cause of overcharging your bank statement is unusable for 3 months for credit.
Maybe I'm just grabing at straws here but it feels like this might happen.
I just conected now. 7:04pm 29/05/2012
I will see what happens and what the usage will show tomorrow. God forbid its a disaster cause then I'm going to be cross cause they ensured me that this will not happen.
