Laptop battery life

I am looking for a laptop with mid-range specs but a GOOD battery life. Any suggestions? Or alternatively, an external battery solution.

My current laptop has about a 2 hour battery life and that's not enough to cope with loadshedding

Huh? Even a gaming laptop lasts 3-4 hours (if you don't play games too heavily with it), work type ones run between 4-7 hours normally.

Maybe your battery is just poked.

connect the external charger plug to a bigger battery, just make sure your voltage is fine.

I have a Dell Lattitude and the battery has never been more than 2 hours. I use it for web development, photoshop and skype.

Just get a car charger and a small car battery.

I use a Kensington car charger.

Get a Dell Ultrabook with beefy UPS and you'll be fine.
