Goie More!

Ive got an Acer 5710 Laptop.

The freaking Battery lasts around 15 - 20 minutes.
At work this is not a problem as its always plugged in.
Now that im on leave its another story. If im upstairs etc its a nightmare.

Where would you guys suggest I go?

I have googled etc and I could not find a place that I have heard of besides Esquire but they give no pricing.

What about repacking? Is it worth it?

Fanks very much!!!

Speak to these guys about battery repacking. They will give you a price on repacking or sell you a new battery depending on what is more cost effective for your specific model.

They based in JHB though which may be a problem for you.

You still have the option of trying to repack the battery with new Li-Ion cells but it means you will first have to open the battery to see the type of cells it uses which should not be to hard. Cells can be purchased from specialist battery suppliers or electronics shops. I would advise going for a good brand with a higher mAh rating if possible.

Or you could get a quote and have someone do it for you, just enquire about the cells they use and ask to repack it to a higher mAh rating:

+1 for akita; had a few notebooks' batteries repacked there already with awesome results.
