Laptop for a teacher

Hey. I'm looking for a laptop for someone that basically only does word, excel and skype.

Will this do or is there something better out there:
3520 I3 notebook + office 365 home premium + skull candy earphones + port backpack bundle.
Intel core i3 - 2370M processor 2.4ghz. Wlan 802.11 connectivity, dvd writer, integrated webcam. 4gb ram. 500 gb HDD, windows 8.
For R5000
 
If thats all you'd do fine with a new Celeron
 
Also check CNA :) Easy finance available if she has her edgars card :P 6months interest free. Bought an i5 from them for R5000 on promotion, never experienced any issues whatsoever, works perfectly with skype, excel, outlook and other applications running in the background but suffers when I install applications that love ram..
 
There is an i3 Acer at Game for R3999. But the Dell seems like a better deal if one needs office...
 
Bought an i3 Packard bell for my mom with 4gb ram, 500 gb hardrive and a 15" screen from Makro and never had any problems with it and runs quite fast for a R3999 laptop and runs windows 7 quickly.
 
Posting this from the R3999 Game ACER laptop.... no complaints at all :)
 
For teacher, I recommend something without a camera, so teach can't be accused of recording his students in class.

he said he wanted to use Skype and the cameras on laptops are pointed towards and not away from the screen so not sure what u mean.

He can use voice skype, not video. And irrespective where the cameras are pointed, if he uses it in classroom, at least he can't be accused of recording his students.

I recommended her the Dell but told her about the cheaper Acer at game.

I'm pretty sure she won't be recording the kids in her classroom:wtf: and video Skype is so much more fun than voice only:whistle:
 
That Acer from Game for R4k will be more than enough for her and it has 3yr onsite warranty.
