Laptop for R15k

1080p screen? What is this ****.

But an Apple MacBook Air, you’ll effectively have a 17-inch screen due to the resolution.

You’ll also be rid of that Intel garbage.

HP Elitebook or Macbook Air

Zbook would be the one to get, but you will only get a demo at that price. They are equivalent to the Macbook Pro Pro (not that it exists, but really the Pro Desktop versions).

I have my Zbook for 5 years, play gaming with it, its got 64GB of Ram, 2x SSD Drives and a Quadro Graphics card (good for cad and some gaming). And the Battery life is still 10 hours, and a Dreamcolour Display 4K.

You'll probably have to wait for the new Vivobook with the Oled screen at around that price....or go pre owned

I only buy pre-owned now. You just have to ask a lot of questions and ideally buy it from someone with a lot of good feedback. It saves a lot of money.

Go for one of the HP Probook 45x models (450 for Intel, 455 for AMD) , its a business machine meaning its better quality than their consumer stuff, part availability is fantastic, just about everything is easily replaceable/upgrade-able , and their call out support means you wont have much if any downtime.

You can save a quite a bit of money by upgrading the SSD and Ram yourself, its 6 six screws at the back and will take you 15 minutes.

Currently I have a fleet of these at work from various generations and they are just rock solid.

PS If you can spend the bit extra go AMD over Intel the extra GPU performance makes it worth it.

Hi Willie,

I have sent you a PM, I can definitely assist in getting you your best value for money.
