Laptop GPUs for gaming

Hi experts
Any recommendations around good value GPU's to look out for when looking for a gaming laptop?

So many models and variants.
One sort criteria I am starting to use is onboard RAM. Many older GPUs have 2GB, newer have anywhere from 4GB up to 8GB.

Recommendations?

What games do you play, what are your fps expectations at 1080p etc etc etc

Bought the Mrs a MSI GL73 i think, wasnt cheap, but she's very happy with it

Get one that support external dock, then just upgrade gpu when you want to and use when you want.

Most alienware/msi support has external docks.
