Hi guys/gals.
I have a laptop here with a 60gig hd that just died a few weeks ago, acer replaced the hd with a new one and sent me the broken one back. This is a work laptop and there is very important data on there. A backup was done but its a few months old. So i have to do data recovery on it.

Can anyone point me to a company that can do data recovery for me, no matter what the cost. Just need to get it recoverd!

Give me a website, number, name.. Anything!

Thanx
Me.

I had the same problem some time ago.

I managed to find an adapter that allows you to connect the laptop hard drive to the IDE interface of a desktop PC. For some strange reason that worked just fine, and I was able to recover my data. The drive would however not start up when placed back into my laptop . After I installed a new hard drive into the laptop all was well again.

I've done the same as Khyron as a first stop, except it was an external USB drive case for 2.5" drives. Out of 6 or so dead drives, only one was truly "dead".
