Looking at getting my laptop connected to the internet, would appreciate recommendations.
Primarily to be used for surfing net, will probably only require +-1GB/month. Would prefer a faster connection.
I'm unfamiliar with network coverage of laptops. Is it possible to be connected to the internet no matter where I am, even when on holiday in a remote dorpie? My gut tells me that I could use my cell to connect to the internet where ever it has coverage, although again I'm unfamiliar with this and the speed, connection and cost versus ISPs.
A USB/express card modem costs +-R1500, although I can get one off eBay for +-R400. Does anyone have experience or knowledge in whether one off eBay will work instead of buying the ISP's overpriced one?
