Laptop keyboard not working after windows 10

Friend updated to windows 10 and now her keyboard isn't working. We checked the drivers and they're all up to date. It initially worked but then just stopped. It stopped. We rebooted; it started working. Later on she shut down her laptop and when she switched it on some time later, it'd stopped working again and she couldn't login. Rebooting didn't fix anything this time. Eventually used the on screen keyboard to login. She wants to roll back to windows 7 but what if the problem persists which would completely lock her out since there's no onscreen keyboard in windows 7 to fall back on (or am I wrong?).

I think its probably a Windows 10 device driver update that Windows 10 automatically updates. Could explain if it initially works but not after a reboot.
I would try delete the keyboard from device manager.

Samsung. Model no. NP-RV510-A02ZA. I actually can't the find this model on the Samsung Update application. On the Samsung site there's on;y the US version.

in device manager right click uninstall then right click on root scan for harware changes and it will pick it up again

Forgot to get back to this thread. It didn't work. I'm fact, it couldn't even find it after uninstalling it.

If you scan for hardware changes or restart the PC it will always pick it up.

Since you still have the problem I think best would be to google for users who have experienced the same thing.

Does the caps lock light go on and off when you press it?

It picked up the wrong driver. Had to manually find the right one. As for the caps lock light, I'll check when I have access to the laptop. Its not mine. But I don't recall ever seeing a caps lock light at all. I've done my fair share of googling on the subject. The only reason why I'm putting so much effort in finding a solution is that I'm there one who recommended windows 10. I feel guilty.

how you know which keyboard problem you have? (its means hardware problem or software problem) .it's easy to know, just check if your laptop keyboard all keys not working then its software problem and if some keys or single key not working another key working then its hardware problem
