Hi can anyone help? My laptop is constantly losing its wireless connection to my home network and then uses an alternately configured IP address. Internet access is then dead - clicking 'repair' reconnects with a IP from the DHCP server which is a linksys WRT54 DD-WRT firmware). I have upgraded the wireless drivers on the laptop - (fujitsu siemens).
Running XP Home
Funny thing is my macbook never loses the connection.

are their any settings I can fine tune to fix this?

When does this happen? While you are working or when you bring it out of sleep or hibernation mode?

No, this can happen at anytime - one minute fine and the next "page cannot be displayed" - quick check and the IP has reverted to 'manually configured'

Try increasing the DHCP lease time on your router?

I did that shortly after posting the message. Monitoring it now - it was set up for 1 day - changed it to 3 days.
