Depends on OS and hard drive. For Windows 7&8 SSD cache is totally transparent, handled internally by the hard drive firmmware. Such small cache is obviously ineffective without OS support.
Current SSHD drives support Hybrid SATA extension command set which allow OS to place important elements in SSD cache. Windows 8.1 support this feature and the newer Linux kernel too. I have yet to see proper benchmark with OS support.

Only downer is its a 1 year warranty, thought Dells were 2-3 year warranties.
