Hello

Sorry for the rubbish picture, but I'm sure you can make out that splotch on the lower left there.

I know nothing at all about laptops, and someone has asked me if there is anything they can do about this unsightly blemish. It's a Travelmate 8100.

Thanks!

:D

You mean behind the glass, where the splotch is? I don't believe so.

I mean just in general. Someone else here once cleaned his laptop screen with a wet wipe or something and some of it got behind the screen. It eventually dried up (The next day or 2 if i remember correctly).

This is if you are talking about the white blob that looks out of place?

Aah, no idea. The splotch has been there for quite a while ago now though.

If you press where it is, it gets worse.

Eish, How is the warranty looking? Might be the LCD screen bleeding a little bit. Usually it goes black though :-/. Either way, might need the LCD screen replaced.

Replace the LCD panel.

Totally out of warranty.

What would the procedure be in getting the screen replaced? Any idea? I would not know where to begin.
