Hi to all,

today when I wanted to start-up my laptop, it frozed on the start-up screen before you enter your password. I restarted in safe mode, and it worked. That was until I clicked on the start button, it froze again.

Suggestions where I can start to resolve the issue?

Model? Specs? RAM configuration? Try with 1 stick of RAM instead of 2, if you have 2. If you only have 1 stick, then you will need to find another stick of the same type of RAM ( whether DDR1/2/3).

Boot from USB or optical. Check hard drive SMART, scan for delays. If anything wrong, don't put it for stress by further attempts booting Windows, but make arragements to transfer your data.

Took my laptop to Incredible Connection to have a look. After running diagnostic tests, they could not find anything wrong. They suggested reloading the OS for a mere R800 :wtf:. Obviously said no.
At home, I tried the "restore system defaults". Couple of hours later, laptop is up and running without any issues. Loaded some games and software, still no issue.
Let's hold thumbs eerything is sorted!
