Hi guys, I need to pick your brains. I want to get a hold of a laptop running a decent mid range to high end Apu. I have been to incredible, game and makro and cannot seem to find any.

When I search online I just get laptops with Intel processors and AMD graphics cards. Does somebody know where I can buy an Apu based laptop?

+1

I have been hunting all over for an A10 HP laptop at incredible and all the other retailers to no avail.

HP Pavilion G6-2313AX would be great if it actually existed.

look on ebay they go about 500 us dollars , and shipping is less then 100 dollars normally .

I would really like to find something that isn't ridiculously priced but had local support.

Man I really don't wanna be stuck playing games on an hd4000.

Wouldnt buying a Intel with a GTX5xx/6xx be better and less time consuming?

You are probably right and I may have to go this route. Very disappointed though, an Apu based laptop is ideal for me assuming decent pricing.

Its the price, CPUs from intel with those GPUs in them are very expensive, suppose to be PRO graphics solutions (yeah right, who are they kidding!)

Those are gaming laptops. I think the OP is looking for a laptop which has SOME gaming capability. Hence, his search for an APU based system, not necessarily with discrete graphics.

But it comes down to his budget in the end.

In that case... I can only find 2 laptops worthwhile. Those AMD APUs are hard to find, and I couldn't find one on a good budget

I'll choose the laptop with the GT740M & i5...

<-- This actually looks promising i5 & HD8750M

To find something lower than this for "casual gaming" will be very hard to find. I remember Incredible Corruption having an AMD APU's a while back. I looked at one with an A6.

Guys I would like a trinity or richland a10 and max 8k. If there is a better option I am open to suggestion.

I don't think that's gonna happen for R8k, you're already limited for choice here.

Man I hate local pricing. Else where these laptops are cheaper than i7 and i5 options. I dunno I am starting to think a discrete option is the way to go.

Considered importing? Maybe a brand that has worldwide warranty, I think there are a few of those.
