Large downloads stopping again on MWEB Uncapped

Hi

A while ago I had the same problem... when I have large software updates to to on the Mac, download runs ok until it hits about 100 MB mark, where after absolutely nothing downloads.

Example:
This morning I had a 313 MB update to the operating system. The update downloaded fine up to the 95 MB point, and now it is just sitting there. Time remaining: 10 hours and counting...

After I mentioned exactly the same issue on these forums, the problem went away. Any ideas what I can try from my side to remedy the problem?

a download manager?

or is update not available like that? cause i am sitting here 460kbs on news dl, no ssl or anything flying today.

or i can be troll, use windows :P
 
How do you know it is mweb's fault? Doesn't sound like it to me.

Downloads never stop on me but then i use windows 7 so perhaps post it on the mac forum and see what ya hit.
 
I have the same problem on osx
I try to download iphone update and it stops after 120 mb i try 3 times
Im know using telkom the line is max out no problem
on mweb is going up and down with the speed
Telkom speed is constant
 
I think it has to do with the acimai caching not working well through MWEB, with other accounts it seems to download locally with MWEB it connects internationaly. I'm also on Mac.
 
Same issue downloading the update for the Ipod/Ipad via iTunes. Worked when I switched to another ISP.

iPhone update seemed to download fine on my MWEB uncapped. I left it overnight though, not during the day.
