Laser engraver machine

I want to laser engrave a picture and name onto a wooden breadboard, so I guess the little picture will be like 5cm x 5cm give or take. Anyone done that before or what machine they used which won't break the bank etc, I guess they are little CNC laser machine... I think.

There is a technique where you can get similar results via chemical process.

I saw it on Youtube, always wanted to try it.
