Hi guys, I print and scan alot at home, so thinking of getting a laser multifunction printer. The one I currently have,an Epson, has cartridges which last about 3 weeks, although I must admit I use generics! I hear laser printers are more cost effective in the long run as you don't have to replace the toner for a good while. So :

- Can you recommend a make and model?

- How much should I expect to pay for the toner?

- I need something a R1000 or below. Think there is one in that price range?

Will appreciate any feedback!

You will not find a colour laser multifunction for under R1000. You will struggle to find one for under R2k.

You dont tell us which area you're in.

only advice I can give as you seems to prefer generics/remans cartridges/toners: Have a look at what printers you can find. See which toners are being remaned/generic. Then buy the one you find most cost effective.

Thanks for the responses. I will do what Chilligirl suggested.

A Laser printer is not cheap but well worth the cost.

I would personally not go for a multifunction device though.
