Interesting...I knew about 3rd party tank systems but not originals.

How are the modern jets on smudging if you touch the page? For those brief periods where I used a jet I hated every minute of it due to that...especially if trying to highlight something.

an epson with extended ink tank was was on special at incredible desception recently.

Personally I would rather look at a laser printer that includes WiFi networking. Samsung printers tend to have the most expensive generic cartridges.

IC has a decent promotion on the Epson L355 currently. This inkjet printer has large refillable external tanks which makes it a lot cheaper to run than most laser printers. A 4000 page Epson ink refill bottle costs around R90.
