Am I the only one still using Sentech MyWireless Classic?
:)

nope on 128k and planning on rapeing my 10gig as HARD as possible till i get the stooopid phone call pity they shooting them self`s in the head in stead of getting us all on 3meg 5gig accounts to KILL the competion

same here 256 classic (contract). though lately since everyone's cancelling, its just me and you guys, mostly everything works...

Still use it at the office when the "blocked by Websense" message appear :D Only till end of October. Home has been converted. I suspect most contract guys/girls will stay till end of term, with the month2month'ers going

I'm still on MyWi 256 until the end of the month or until they stop debiting my account. I figure as long as they're taking my money, I'm entitled to my 20GB.

Raping the connection as best i can till they actually do send written notice and cut off the connection. And they better not charge me anything extra!

I told the phone messanger i was not going the flexi route!

I too am gonna hang out till my contract expires and head elsewhere still have 13 months to go (MyWi 128). Thats a lot of bandwidth I can guzzle between then and now.

I'm still here, 128k for the next 20 months or so :). So what's the deal with this charge for going over the cap. Nowire hasn't notified anyone, as mentioned on another thread this 50c per meg over cap doesn't apply to Nowire cleints as 'YET'.

I got the call yesterday so byebye 256k classic - i have 1 month to go...

Imma make the most of it :D

Cancellation sent through. Running all the torrents I can until month end! iBurst is flying - amazing what it's like to have true broadband again ;)

Aren't you gonna be frustrated not being able to do the 10 , 20 or 40 gig downloads?

Nope. Usually I don't go over about 8 GB per month. I have a 5GB adsl and now 3 GB iBurst, loadbalanced. I can't believe what a difference the iBurst has made to my users. Everyone is way happy. And extra GB on ADSL only cost R69 each, so if I do hit a limit, I just buy more.

Atleast I now have a reliable redundant connection. In the MyWire days, Murphies law said that on the few time ADSL went down, MyWire was also down. My iBurst was up for over 4 days when I last had to reboot the router after making some mayor changes. Can't remember when last I saw MyWire stay up for more than a few hours.

Classic not categorically cancelled!

I spoke to my service provider, not Sentech, re this whole 'Classic being cancelled' issue. They got back to me within 30 minutes, after having spoken to Sentech, stating:
- existing Classic customers will NOT be booted off, whether they are in or out of contract
- Sentech will NOT take on any new customers to Classic, that is all

I am 128k out of contract. Waiting to see how long the above holds true.

Sentech must be wrong then, because they're under the impression that non-contract Classic customers have to cancel.

Thart's the impression I'm under, after quizing the Sentech rep that phoned me to tell me I need to "upgrade" to Flexi or cancel.

20 GBs ends at the end of this month. What to do, what to do?!?!!?!?

You don't need to cancel, they need to do it. and give you an appropriate one calendar months notice.
