LastPass password manager launches passwordless login

LastPass has launched a new passwordless login authentication app that lets users access their stored passwords without a master password.

The average online user is estimated to have more than 100 passwords, making it difficult to keep track of them.

Problem with this is that in order to enable this, you have to disable any existing multifactor authentication.

Which was very annoying since I have paper backups for the logins using their fancy grid authentication.

Yep, that's a non-starter for me too. Never trust any single factor of authentication.

Veracrypt for the external stick that has my AxCrypt keyfile.

Every password is different, and everything is copy/pasted.

Lastpass lost my vote when they started implementing stupid restrictions to get you to subscribe. Also, other apps e.g. Bitwarden had the fingerprint thing enabled yeas ago

I dropped lastpass for 1Password. Sure it's also paid, but I felt like LastPass was sneaky with their sudden restrictions.
