Hi y'all,
Telkom scheduled a massive outage for a large portion of Gauteng last night for ADSL users. The upside of this is that they changed the following back:
1. Changed form Interleaved back to FastPath
2. Changed the sync-rate back to 2048/512
Latency to the first hop has also improved:
[tva@zorg ~]$ ping 165.165.224.1 -c 4
PING 165.165.224.1 (165.165.224.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 165.165.224.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=254 time=10.9 ms
64 bytes from 165.165.224.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=254 time=10.9 ms
64 bytes from 165.165.224.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=254 time=10.3 ms
64 bytes from 165.165.224.1: icmp_seq=3 ttl=254 time=10.4 ms
I am very impressed. Thanks Telkom for making things faster again!
