Hi y'all,

Telkom scheduled a massive outage for a large portion of Gauteng last night for ADSL users. The upside of this is that they changed the following back:

1. Changed form Interleaved back to FastPath
2. Changed the sync-rate back to 2048/512

Latency to the first hop has also improved:

[tva@zorg ~]$ ping 165.165.224.1 -c 4
PING 165.165.224.1 (165.165.224.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 165.165.224.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=254 time=10.9 ms
64 bytes from 165.165.224.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=254 time=10.9 ms
64 bytes from 165.165.224.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=254 time=10.3 ms
64 bytes from 165.165.224.1: icmp_seq=3 ttl=254 time=10.4 ms

I am very impressed. Thanks Telkom for making things faster again!

bugger... i guess people out of gauteng are still going to struggle. me puts on his angry hat.

They fixed mine a couple of days ago in Cape Town. It looks like Telkom are getting around to everyone eventually.

I'm still set to interleave :(

im back to fast mode but still 640/384
yay my oing is down again

Mine went back to 2048/512 when the put Fast mode on again. I'm pretty close to the exchange though.
