Hi Guys any of u have latency problems I have a Unshaped 4mbps line and I have had for the last 3 weeks now latency of between 500-700 which is very strange because I had before that between 350-500 because I am close to the exchange I have no firewall on so I have no idea what could be causing this unless everyone has had the same problems pls let me know if u have?

Same problems here on my Saix line, been up the last 3 weeks around 600ms.
Verizon was better but was down since Friday :(

Same here, also I get LOADS of dropped connections, last night for example I got dropped 11 times in 1hr.

The DSL sync is up but "Webafrica" drops me non-stop.

I am on 3g last nite I was Dced 3 times and then couldnt connect for 3hours

i think there was something wrong with the exchange.

Last night my ISP was down aswell, i wasnt the only one.

Atleast I were not dropped then, would have been nasty as we cleared the first half of SSC. The high latency was a bit of a problem though aspecialy as raid leader my shout commands are usualy 0.7sec too late or a coordinated start might not be timed as well. Atleast my fellow raiders are aware of the issues and have adapted amazingly.

Well, I was getting dropped on Kael'thas :-(

Sorry to hear :( I know it is quite frustrating when that happens. We are not quite at The Eye yet, but sure hope I dont get connection issues when we get there.

Sorry bit off topic... ( feel free to move it if needed )

We have been wiping / battling for weeks at Vashj now, we keep getting her down to 10% and then we wipe due to bats messing the movement area. Basically there is 2 schools... one says kill a few bats then focus all DPS on Vashj, then there is the other school that says ignore Bats and nuke Vashj full out.

Any tips from you guys that currently have Vashj on farming status ? Please dont post any information that you read from a site somewhere, I have read them all... I want constructive input from people that really know how insanely hard this battle is, taking our latency into consideration. Eg. Killing bats with a BM hunter build is pretty much impossible due to 41 yard range issues + latency ...
TK we are also on Kael now, but we really wanna get vashj down since we have phase 2 now pretty much under control.

Any constructive tips / input that worked for your guilds would be very much appreciated. We clear SSC pretty much in one night up to Vashj no problems with maybe one wipe max, so our dps + gear + tactics is pretty good... its just Vashj... That damn boss is just so insanely hard.

cheers !

I've also been experiencing a lot of latency problems on WoW. I was busy doing the monthly AV grind, but I would always be disconnected every 20 or so minutes. Its really annoying.

I've already phoned up my ISP, and they told me that there is nothing wrong on there side. I've had my connection reset, and they're examining my exchange as we speak (I can see them). I've even checked out my network cable, and i've rebooted & upgraded the software on my router.

No clue as to why WoW is behaving badly. Might be server problems.. but it seems to be happening to everyone.

Still strugling in phase 1/2 on vashj, so cant give any advice :( Trying tonight again, so will have some input maybe tomorrow :D I hope!

Werries.../ Phase 1 is a no brainer. You shouldn't have a problem at all there. Phase 2 is the nasty one. There is NO tolerance for any mistakes. One mistake and forget about it. Wipe, start over.

The hardest aspect we found in phase 2 was core handling, strider control/ kiting, and healing. If you reach phase 3 with more than 3 ppl dead, wipe, start over, you wont make it on dps / heals etc.

If you miss one tainted elemental, wipe, start over, because even if you make it into phase 3, you will enter phase 3 with so many adds and striders + naga's you wont make it on the enrage timer.

Volstruis - No disrespect intended, but the reason I asked for people that have this boss on farming status, is because no matter how many guides you read, how many video's you watch, its just not gonna cut it.
It really is that hard. I am looking for answers / tips from people that did the whole blood sweat and tears from this encounter. Trust me when I tell you I have read the entire thread on elitist jerks forum, entire thread from worldofraids.com, even watched the video from warcraftmovies.com and numerous other sites not even worth mentioning, I honestly don't think any guild that is on Vashj now would attempt her without all members knowing the fight inside out. :)

I was hoping to get some input on tactics that worked for other guilds that have this boss on farming status. More specific phase 3.
By the sound of it, going the full out dps route on Vashj is the messy way. It works, but you will have many dead ppl if you nuke her down in time. But hey... a kill is a kill... anything to get that damn vial.

cheers ;)

Hehe yea a kill is a kill :D
We wiped on phase 2 consistantly for about an hour, and never seen phase 3, but we will get there eventualy :D
Still remember the days of BWL where 90% of the raid would wipe in an instant leaving 4 people to get the final 10-20% of Nefarion down... Epic battles but loved every second of those.

just want to add we will prob wipe on this boss for another few hours, it will be our new Vaelestras of TBC. We wiped on Vael for 2 months before getting him down :o

Well we have been wiping on her for about 3 weeks now. And we still don't make phase 3 on every attempt.
I spend about 50 mana pots alone on myself per night, not too mention the elixir of agility's + foods + mana oils + elixir of mageblood pots.

The only fight I have ever come across that requires this much co-ordination was the Cthun battle in Pre-BC. But to be honest ... imo Vashj is harder.

Really... if you guys manage to get to phase 3 with only a few hours of wiping, then either we suck, or you guys will see just how hard Vashj really is. :D

Hehe, we are not hardcore raiding at all :D But we have our moments of brilliance, we tend to wipe for hours then all of a sudden we get a flawless kill. I actualy think our raid dps is still lacking a bit for this fight, but we will get there aswell :D
