Define free, last time i checked BIS was around R60, it does use BIS, but is in no way free.

No vodafone satnav does not work on mtn, you need garmap that you get through some star card. have a look through the forum or try calling MTN, chances are you get it via the forum faster and with less hassel. Seen it a few times but MTNs given me such **** service in the past id sooner throw my phone in the ocean that let them see a blue cent of mine, although lately vodacoms not actually much better.
