Latest TIOBE index shows Java in decline

Poor man is so deep in the JVM that everything looks like an AbstractBeanFactory.
Aw I'm sorry thst I pointed out that you and your buddy suck at coding was not my intention to hurt you.

You seem to feel I use Java only.
I code in c/c++ Java Python javascript, bash, typescript.

You seem to be proud of the fact thst you can script in one language. But that is just a weakness as a developer. But I imagine you aren't a developer. You just sometimes dabble in things.

Scratch just isn't a scripting language. It is a way of life.

I would have you know I have an entire full stack application coded in scratch. My manager loves it because she can drag and drop components into it to make custom solutions for clients.
That's like using skyrim, installing mods and then saying you coded your own game

Geez... tell me you dont know anything about software development without actually saying it....
Make stronger arguments for your fictitious argument.
It's developers that suck, not the languages. Are you a developer?
Yeah sure... fact is there are bad languages and there are good languages used badly. I remember in the 90's I was listening on CNN how they were talking about Java and Javabeans and how you can just drops things together to make interactive websites with revolutionary capability. None of that ever happened and it only became a mess.

You appear to be touched on the studio and rambling on about unrelated things.
It's like one of those guys that's just discovered OOP and thinks it's the boss when the fact is most situations are better suited to procedural code and OOP just ads extra code and thinking on top of it.

Drives me nuts, the hard core Kool-Aid drinkers.

Something that should take a couple of hours, be easy to read, maintain and explain, suddenly turns into an 8 week epic, that's unmaintainable, slow, doesn't work, but is somehow best practice . The best part being that if you ask the original developer to add some features, he can't. Because he either doesn't understand it, or there is no way of fitting said feature into the 'best practice' 'architecture'

Then he rewrites it using whatever buzzwords he learned it in the last month, for an even bigger cluster. repeat ad nauseum. (yes all the above happened, more than once). I no longer fall for that, these days I tell that guy to take a hike on day one.

You know you can also code Skyrim mods in Scratch as well. Java cannot do that.

Erm... you see that silly thinking?
Skyrim doesn't have a built in vm connector.
Your same logic neither can scratch. Or anything for that matter that SKYRIM doesn't support.

But, I can create a mod using Java or Python or anything but I would need to develop some kinda bridging mechanism. Which isn't impossible.

I think you are still thinking in single language.

The one thing nobody mentions is that C++ is adding conceptually cool features but somehow is trending to Brainf... (forum software doesn't allow me to link to Wikipedia or write out the name. The f-word)

That is true. I have colleagues who tend to try use all the new features, and the code looks like garbage.

With all your languages, clearly English is not one of them. As he’s been taking the piss out of you from the first post.

Imagine being this passionate about programming languages when there are things like cheeseburgers, tits and flavoured alcohol out there.
