The latest Win Phone preview built is excellent. Pity Win Phone are so poorly promoted in RSA

Have you installed an Insider build?

Ja, Microsoft is getting out of the volume handset business - back to its roots of leaving it to OEMs to do hw while it concentrates on software. It'll do a few reference designs like Surface, but no volume business and all the distribution and support infrastructure that requires.

I'm eager to get an HP Elite x3. Monster phone. Already orderable in UK and Australia. Shipping next month, apparently.

Personal preference really. Having used HTC/Samsung/LG android phones myself (and not old donut crap, recent flagship lollipop versions) I cant see myself changing back to it after having used a windows 10 phone.

Does what I need it to do with a UI I like more than android without having to sit hours customizing icons/launchers/shortcuts/gestures/this rom that rom yada yada yada.

Until MSft cocked it for the third time, Win phone was ahead of iPhone in several markets outside the USA. Now share is rapidly approaching a decimal point. That doesn't mean it's a crappy OS. It isn't. It means Msft are blerry useless at building the necessary relationships with handset makers and networks. I've just abandoned my Nexus 6P and gone back to the 950 XL. So much slicker and faster.

Just install Google Now launcher or Arrow launcher and be done with it.

I had the previous preview installed but rolled back because Edge was rendering mobile sites so poorly, did they fix the issue in the latest build?
