I have decided to fire my garden "service"....they rush in here and finish within 10 minutes and my lawn looks dead....no weeds are removed (ever)...my windows are cracked all the time (weed eater in flower bed then stones from lawn shot against window from lawnmower)...bastards charge me R130 @ cut (2-3 times a month)

give me some suggestions for:
lawnmowers
weed eaters

I won't be going electric.

I know. I was looking for brand names etc.
What's your budget?

I have a 4 stroke 4hp mower. No issues at all. No mixing of oil into the fuel necessary etc. it's a darbel mower with a Briggs and Stratton motor. I service it myself (buy a service kit from my local lawn mower specialist)

We have a Southern Cross chassis with a Robin motor. 22 years old and still looks brand new. Some mower shops also sell the fuel for 2-stroke motors pre-mixed which is great.

Lol, how hard is it to mix a bit of 2-T oil into the petrol?

Very easy until your gardener gets proactive and fills it up with some non-mixed fuel he got from somewhere ;)

Different mix specs for different engines. Any oil should do. Your engine should have a mix ratio on it somewhere.

Differs by engine/manufacturer. Should be written somewhere on the lawnmower. Any 2-T oil will do but you might as well get some of the better stuff.

Why not get an electric mower? It should be more reliable and cheaper to operate.
