Hi,

First time buying a lawnmower so asking for suggestions please.

Total garden size (front + back + verge) is 450 squares meters according to google (so i guess medium size?). Some inclines. nothing major.
Storage is a factor so cant go too big either.
Additional trimmer/edging tool a bonus

Some options -
ryobi combo

trimtech combo

Or am i looking too small?

I got a Trimtech combo. although a larger/higher wattage set. very happy.

Rather get a petrol lawnmower.

I have a Ryobi 300W trimmer, that thing is super short and you cant adjust the length. If you are tall you will suffer using it. Rather get a lawn mower by itself or find a combo with a longer trimmer

I stay in a complex and I have like a 10sqm lawn in my front yard, even though it takes me 10 to 15 min to cut the grass its still a pain using it. I actually want to get rid of it and get a bigger one.

Yes, go for the highest watt motor you can get.

And while the word divorse was mention, a friend got an exellent one, but wife move out, he took the mower outside, then realize wife cut the power cable of at least 4 places.

ouch

If you plan on cutting yourself on occasion then go petrol.

That wire is absolute nightmare.
not unless absolutely desperate.
petrol - i think its just maintenance (which will become my issue)
electric - gardeners issue

Just had bad experiences with Ryobi petrol lawn mowers. Don't go near them.
Both spewed their life blood up out of the carburettors.
After half an hour of use.
Gave up fighting the agents.

Petrol Lawnmower are best. Corded is more for a small townhouse. Petrol gives you freedom to move around.

My favourite lawnmower is a cylinder lawnmower. They just cut better...

I cut with a rotary lawnmower and my grass is well neat but ok.

My neighbour cuts with a cylinder mower, and his grass looks like the soccer world cup pitch. Its really day and night difference. So dediced by Septermber will get rid of mine and change to cylinder too.

When I bought my house I was just as excited: researched lawnmowers for months.

Bought Wolf and a Wolf weed eater and started that Saturday...

Two months of Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays spent mowing and weed eating and I sold everything and got garden services.

One of the best decisions of my life...

Go petrol. Electric is a pita and takes way longer
Nope.

Petrol is high maintenance. You have to mix 2-stroke. Spark plug always giving kak due to dirty environment.

You get strong enough electrical lawnmowers that cut just as "fast" as petrol.

Once you learn how to lay out the electrical lead, you do not even notice it's there.

I think it all depends on environment.

I want a petrol mower but have an electric one.
My electric mower is 30+ years old, still does the job and that is why I do not have a petrol one yet.
That and the price...

I want a proper mower, so that I can sit on my ass and have a beer while mowing the garden and surrounds.
But R40K+ for a mower?

That Ryobi lawnmower is a toy - rather get something in the 2000/2400w range.
