Layer 2 Netflow - Cisco WS-6506-E

Evening all,

I am trying to configure netflow to monitor Layer 2 traffic in the network.

Just a bit of backround info:
We handle the LAN and another company handles the WAN so often it is hard to get access to the routers so we have to configure netflow on the core.


I found this but none of the commands work on the core - http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/suppor...hes/70974-netflow-catalyst6500.html#ennetflow

So we configured netflow on the VLAN interfaces. Not sure if this is right?
Is there a way to apply netflow to a L2 physical interface?

Which commands don't work?

Are you running ios on the 6500 or hybrid ios/catos?

I tried mls netflow and everything after that in the tutorial i posted. Doesn't recognize it. the only mls command that it shows is "mls rp {ip/ipx/nde-address} ....."

I'm not too sure about hybrid etc or how to tell really. lol
