LCD mounted on the wall or placed on the unit ?

Mine is on the sideboard that I have been using for years. It is as safe as on the wall and it hides my media centre/xbox/cables.

Really?
So when you bump a 40" it doesn't move?
For me the risk outweighed everything.
My tv doesn't move now.

It's really not a risk I want to take.

You could always not walk or bump into your TV. This method works perfectly for me.

So what happens if you do bump your tv?
It falls over and breaks.
ffs

This is not rocket science.

Wall mount - i think what Electric is trying to say is that prevention is better than cure especially if you payed a fortune for it.I have a 3 year old so no chances will be taken.47 is on the wall with a rotating bracket.

yeah it isnt

but who leaves the tv in the middle of nowhere expecting a bump in a period of time

my unit will be against the wall and tv will be on top

but i also have a wall mount so im guessing i will rather just wall mount

the unit is for the dstv, console and HTS

Exactly.
I have dogs and kids.

Mounted mine last weekend actually. After 7 years of being on a tv stand. It looks far neater mounted on the wall. Someone also on mybb posted some cool lighting effects that can be added which I am going to try out.

Will you be dropping the suspension and adding a new exhaust as well?
