It looks neater, its easier to clean the cabinet and my cabinet didn't like the weight of the TV.

My TV goes in a corner of the room due to *** room design (a door in the middle of each wall) so on the wall is not possible.

Some people just stick ducting against the wall or put all the cables inside one of those plastic tubes etc. That looks like schit...only if all the cables are completely hidden from site, does wall mounting look better.

Nope. I am renting a place now where I have wall mounted my TV.

Although I am moving in two weeks and I will need to cover the holes.. but still. In the new place (Not renting) I will be mounting the TV. It just looks better.

I've got ducting painted to match the colour of the wall so no cords are visible at all.Works for me!

The ideal is to fit conduit with 2 round boxes for cabling and extend a plug point to behind the tv.
Its a bit of a mission but worth it.

Wall mounting by far and away is the best option.

I will be chasing my wall to get signal distribution and power behind the TV so it will be all "invisible"

That's what I'm busy doing. Chasing channels into wall with all fittings behind panel. Using Picture Frame Mount to hang panel on wall. Wall is covered by wall paper so all chasing in wall is invisible. Plastic ducting etc. just looks cheap and tacky.
