Hi all,

Long story short, I bought a 47inch LCD TV this weekend and it was great, but it never had the "just Scan" option, so in 1080p 1920x1080 ers the desktop borders and games were cut off. I know I can "fix the screen from teh nvidia control panel, but since I spent a fortune on a GTX285 and a 47inch TV, I'd like it to work 100% as intended. I had to take the TV back

Now my question is, what is a decent 40-47 inch TV that has this function to adjust the actual picture on teh panel and not on the PC, thus keeping the resolution intact?

needs to be max 6.5ms response, etc etc full HD

That is not the same at all. When i watch a movie on a 23" monitor it looks tiny compared to my hd ready projector at 150"

Maybe ask the place if you can take your pc there and test it or something.

I can, but carrying an Antec 1200 around the shop, testing every demo TV thy got is not ideal and I'm struggling to find someone with a laptop that has a HDMI / DVI port to borrow...

Just thought someone else has run into this issue, to save me the trouble.

How are you connecting to the screen? I had the same problem connecting with component video, VGA was perfect with no overscan, will buy an HDMI cable soon to test that.

my 47" tv did the same but there is some setting on it that made it right, cannot remember what it was tho.

my sinotec does this automatically, but I wouldn't recommend getting one of their new ones

what was the make of ur prev 47"?

i got a sinotec 47" connected to pc via hdmi. Had the same prob.. Had to adjust overscan settings on my gfx card ati radeon hd4650 and it looks perfect now

What TV is it? Often, you can change the name of the input (crazy, I know) to something to do with "PC" or something. Works for my Samsung.
