ldmelsa + 40D . . D40 . . D90

I'll be picking up my D40 18-55 kit tomorrow. :D

Thanks for the advice guys. You all make a lot of sense, but the D40 kit is R5000. That's great value for money.

There is also a little something I ordered from orms.co.za :D

Awesome lens. BTW, check this. If yours matches, send it back and ask for another one. I only found out about this recently, so I have to send mine to Canon. I realise now the shop I got it from probably had it sitting on the shelf forever for that reason.

I've only had bad flaring once though - it's not really serious.

I should add that the one time I had bad flaring was when I was at a friend's wedding, left the hood at home, and had the sun just outside of the frame most of the time. :)

For the rest I haven't seen the issue they report.

Congrats. I guess it will just be myself and kj with 40D's soon.

Didn't that picture you posted have three Canon film bodies in?

Those 30V cameras aren't mine. I never bought them. I also sold the 28-135.

merc, I can never remember if it's you or marine1 who's into astophotography. Either ways, short video on using the 40D with a telescope.

Ah, astrophotography! That looks cool.

I just realised that I've already seen that video and quite a number of videos from cameralabs, but thanks for the linky.
