Looks sexy and slim and from the product map shown in the article it is clear that there is lots more to come. Great to finally see them move to 8megapixel since 5megapixel is soon be launched to the iPlebs.

Images of Nokia's first 8-megapixel full touch cameraphone have just popped up. The Nokia C7 will finally close the gap between the bunch of company's 5-megapixel cameraphones and the N8, which is the only Nokia phone with a 12MP cam on board.

The design of the rumored Nokia C7 is quite reminiscent of the sexy Android-based Motorola XT800 ZHISHANG, which was announced back in December 2009. Unlike it, the C7 will come with an 8MP snapper with dual LED flash and stereo speakers.

According to the guys who published those images, the C7 will run the S60 5th Edition but we won't be surprised to see it packing the newer Symbian^3 (yeap, the same one Nokia N8 comes with).

A secondary camera is located right above the display and there is a 3.5mm audio jack to see on top of the phone. By the way, the screen seems to be surrounded by a nice metallic frame.

Our source remains mum on the other features of the C7 so we'll have to wait for the phone's premiere or another leak to learn more about it.

If you happen to have missed the next image that showed up a few days ago, you can take a look at it now. As you can see, there are several still unannounced Nokia phones mentioned on it: E6, E7, X5, X7 and N9. Unfortunately, we can only guess if and when those will be officially announced.

I'm perplexed as to why Nokia still persists with Symbian OS on their high-end phones. It's like putting Windows 98 on an Intel Core i7 computer.

Guess Meemo is not finished yet and no other choice?

Precisely
Nokia has fantastic hardware and a crappy OS. Why they haven't looked at Android instead of holding on to the dead horse that is Symbian is beyond me

Nice Roux, it's awesome that they released this digital camera that can phone as well!

photographers can now replace their cameras!

Sarcasm, right?

EDIT: I'll take a cheap point and shoot over this any day.

Nokia mentality:
Take one dead horse, add 8MP camera.... you now have a healthy steed running circles around the competition.

Reality:
Take one dead horse, add 8MP camera.... you now have a dead horse rotting on a camera.

LOL :D I have really enjoyed your weak attempts at trolling and I have give you a pat on the back, it was worthy attempts. Coming from a true master such as myself I think you can take that as a compliment.

Perhaps I should also add that I actually agree with you on most of the stuff, it looks a little like an HTC (thank god its not) and the spy pictures do look like they were take with another phone (makes sense now don't it). Bwana has it spot on with his comment of taking a point and shoot of this any day, the 8 megapixel shooter on this phone will not compare well against any of todays point and shoots and the sensor is no where near as good as the on on the N8.

But you see, that is why I say your attempts at trolling is pretty weak. Unlike other wannabe manufacturers that have a one horse (apple) or four horse (blackberry) race, Nokia has an extensive line up of phones for different market segments and uses. They are the number one phone maker on the planet and that is purely because they bother making $30 ultra basic phones with "highlight features" such as flashlight and FM Radio, millions of people buy those.

So where did you all miss the point? This is a C-series phone people, C for classic, common, cheap if you will. It is not supposed to rock the house or feature the latest and greatest. It is supposed to be mainstream and sell in volumes like the old classic phone range (6xxx). Remember the 6210, 6230 and the 6610? This is not N-Series or even X-Series for that matter, so keep on ripping on this one and pointing out how mainstream it is - because stating the obvious is always fun when you troll :p

LMAO - If I did not give the links you would say I was lying and now that I do they are dodgy. Oh you fruity folks are so entertaining when you are proven wrong - I do appreciate having you around.

But lets not dwell on fighting the obvious here - Nokia reigns supreme and the reason for that is simply because they cater for all people, not just wannabe cooltards.
People fighting against that feel they need to spite themselves just to prove to others there is an alternative. We know that silly! But we don't want to compromise on anything.

What is interesting is how this C-series phone takes a leak all over the iPhone and beats is at everything. I mean, its a C-series for pete sake, and it can do that? Gotta love the Finns.

Why does it look so sh:t?

Because its a C-series and it needs to maintain a classic look. Remember that your definition of the term is relative to your personal capacity of observations, and others might not have a high regard for it. Shortly put, why do you look so .... ?

why waste time on making 45 different models of "coolish" phones when you can concentrate on making 1, single, awesome device? nokia lost the plot after phone model seven hundred and sixty two E.
