I'm in CPT Northern suburbs and we use care in cleaning. They charge R330 for a 3 bedroom house (+-160sqm). A team of them pitches up and they are done in an hour leaving everything sparkling. Worth it for us.
What cleaning services are u using ?

I have had a domestic in my employ for around 7 years. Never registered her for UIF, but she will be needing it soon.

What must I do?

The issue would be that the UIF benefits depend on the period for which you have been contributing.

If you're aiming to register for UIF just before dismissal, it's pointless.

Previously when we neglected to pay UIF, we simply paid the domestic the maximum possible accumulated UIF payments in a lump sum and let her sign a receipt.
She could probably still take us to ccma, but that would be ridiculous.

Currently, I'm also employing someone once a week. I intended for it to be twice a month but he twisted my arm. I also don't have UIF... If I leave the country I will probably send him reduced weekly payments for a while.

Does a foreign national i.e. Zimbabwean on ZEP need to be registered on UIF? Can they even claim if they lose jobs. Can't seem to find the answer .. hoping someone knows.

Yep, afaik. If you read the first post you will see that the OP specifically referenced his Zimbabwean worker.

They first need to have a work permit to be allowed to work here legally, which they most likely won't have because the application costs for the exemption permit visa are over R1000.

Once employed they can go to the CCMA while being an illegal, normally they would fine employer for breaking law.

If things worked here you would just be able to call immigration to report illegal immigrant and they would detain / send home and they wouldn't get the chance to go to the CCMA.

I saw that when reading last year but never got a clear answer then. Maybe I just need to phone some expert and get it done.

She has a ZEP which allows her to work. I helped pay for the renewal in the sense I paid it and them she paid it back over the next few months
